SUMMARY:Miss Nelson has a Field Day
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, April 30\, 2020 6 pm Friday\, May 1\, 2020 - 6 pm This fun-filled musical\, featuring the Dallas Children's Theatre\, takes us to Horace B. Smedley School where the Smedley Tornadoes have never won a football game. In fact\, they have never even scored a single point! With such a poor record and a team that is out of control\, kind-hearted Miss Nelson comes to the rescue when she enlists the help of her alter ego\, the ill-tempered Miss Viola Swamp\, to coach the team and whip them into shape. *The APR 30 performance is a sensory-friendly performance. Adjustments have been made to the performance experience so individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder\, sensory sensitives and disabilities\, and post-traumatic stress disorder and their families can enjoy the show in a judgement-free and welcoming environment. Book\, Music & Lyrics by Joan Cushing Based upon the book MISS NELSON HAS A FIELD DAY By Harry Allard and James Marshall\, 1985 Harry Allard Performed by arrangement with Houghton Mifflin Company Recommended for Pre-K to 5th grade.
