A Community Picnic - Celebrating the Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act!
On Monday, July 26th, from 4:00-8:00pm, Personal Assistance Options and Disability Network of Mid-Michigan are hosting a community celebration in honor of the 31st anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The event will be held at Auburn City Park (435 S Auburn Rd) and features live music, games, info booths, kayaking, fishing, and a food truck. Lou E. Loon will be in attendance, too!
We'll also have partner tables with organizations from throughout the area providing valuable resources and information.
The first 400 visitors will receive food vouchers which can be used at the food truck or any of the snack vendors.
In addition to celebrating the ADA, we encourage attendees and their families to Learn and Share. There will be a timeline showing the history of Americans with Disabilities Act and its impact. Attendees will be invited to share how the ADA has affected their livesDate and Time
