Campus of Colors: Plein Air Event

CALLING ALL ARTISTS AND ART ENTHUSIASTS! The Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum will be hosting its inaugural “Campus of Colors, Plein Air Event” on September 9, 2023, complimenting both the special exhibition "Rose Chiu: Heart Intoxicated by Watercolor" and the 60th Anniversary of Saginaw Valley State University. The event will take place on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University and the Museum’s Jo Anne and Donald Peterson Sculpture Garden. Schedule includes: Plein Air Competition 9:00am to 3:00pm Cost: FREE to viewers, $20 for competing artists, $5 for competing students Pre-Registration is required to be included in competition. Pre-registration Required by: Friday, August 25, 2023 1st Prize: $500 2nd Prize: $300 3rd Prize: $100 Plein Air Demonstration Instructor: Exhibiting Artist, Rose Chiu 11:00am to 12:00pm Cost: FREE Following the demonstration, Rose Chiu will be available for signing of her new book celebrating this special exhibition.
