Homestead Sunday: Meet the Farm Animals
Farm animals are an essential part of life on the farm. Greet the sheep as you enter the homestead. Stop by the chicken coop to say hello and share some corn with them! Visit the pig enclosure and learn why pigs were important to the farmstead. Discover what essential things the cows provided for the farm family.
Step back in time at CNC's log cabin, timber frame barn and one-room school for a family-friendly afternoon at the Homestead Farm and Log Schoolhouse. Weekly themed activities will be available throughout the afternoon. You may get to try your hand at grinding corn, pumping water, writing on a slate board, working in the garden, tilling the field or watering the animals.
