STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) is a natural fit for the outdoors. You’ve heard of makerspace, now it’s time to visit NatureSpace!
During this drop-in self-guided program, participants will explore spiders and their ability to construct intricate webs. Learning stations will celebrate the diversity of Michigan arachnids, their webs, and their natural importance. Then, participants will have the opportunity to design and craft a web to capture prey using the materials in CNC’s NatureSpace classroom. After completion, participants can Venture Out and look for spiders that call CNC home. Come explore, make, and learn in this hands-on, minds-on arachnid STEM challenge!
