Landscape Crew Member

Landscape Crew Member Schedule: • This job typically begins on April 1 and ends November 30 • General schedule begins at 7:30 am and typically end at 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Actual days and hours are subject to change and may include later evenings and Saturdays. Qualifications and Expectations • Appreciation for plants and the environment and ability to work outdoors in all types of weather • Ambition to learn how to use a variety hand and power tools on the job • Flexibility in duties, responsibilities, and work schedule as dictated by changing conditions • Attentiveness to detail with a commitment to doing things right and efficiently • Dedication to hard work in a team environment • Professional appearance and ability to interact with clients, co-workers, and designers to ensure excellent customer service and long-term relationships • Good communication skills • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record Duties and Responsibilities • Safely load and unload work vehicles with plants and tools • Prepare, plant, prune, fertilize, water, mulch landscape plantings • Landscape bed preparation, weeding, edging, mulching, raking, digging, tilling, and cleaning up debris and material at the job site and off trucks at the end of the day • Assist in installing project materials such as brick, flagstone, wood, timbers, soil, low-voltage lighting, water features, edging, and lawns • Safely operate hand and power tools on the job and return them to proper storage place • Report any defective or broken tools or equipment to the foreman • Adhere to safety standards for self and work crew • Adhere to company dress and uniform standards
