    Electrical Journey(person) Lineworker

    Are you a journey(person) lineworker that is looking for a place to work where you can go home nightly? Bay City Electric Light and Power, a division of the City of Bay City, Michigan is seeking full-time Electrical Lineworkers to immediately fill multiple openings.

    Our lineworkers are responsible for the construction, maintenance, operations and outage restoration on the utility's distribution facilities. They operate in a safe and efficient manner, to assure our customers reliable and affordable electricity.

    Requirements:

    • Must be a High School Graduate or obtained a GED equivalent.
    • Must be a certified Journey(person) Lineman and possess a Journey(person) Line card.
    • Must have knowledge and experience with distribution systems.
    • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid State of Michigan Driver's License with CDL Class B endorsement.
    • Must be readily available to respond to system outages after normal work hours.

    Work Schedule

    • This is a 40/hour week (with potential paid overtime).
    • Work is conducted locally with no mandatory travel (occasional mutual aid storm work may be available).
    • Must be willing to take occasional on-call trouble truck coverage (paid).
    • Must be readily available to respond to system outages after normal work hours.
