211 Northeast Michigan Supports Veteran Employees

211 Northeast Michigan signed a Statement of Support as part of the Employer Support of the Guard
and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense program. The Statement of Support, signed by Brad
Blanchard, 211 Northeast Michigan board member confirms that the organization joins other
employers across the nation in pledging to provide managers and supervisors with the tools they
need to effectively manage employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve, to continue to
appreciate the unique skills service members bring to the workforce and will encourage opportunities
to hire Guardsmen, Reservists and Veterans and to continually recognize and support our country’s
service members and their families, in peace, in crises and in war.

211 Northeast Michigan joins a cadre of Fortune 500 companies, state and federal agencies and
tens-of-thousands of America’s employers in demonstrating support for our armed forces.

“The ESGR’s pledge helps to solidify the honor 211 to those who serve our country” said Brad
Blanchard, 211 Northeast Michigan Board member and Great Lakes Bay Veteran Coalition Director.
"211 Northeast Michigan has a great reputation of serving our area's veterans; this commitment falls
in line with the character of the agency" said Blanchard.

ESGR seeks to foster a culture where all employers support and value the employment and military
service of National Guard and Reserve members. Join thousands of employers by signing a
Statement of Support for the Guard and Reserve and display it prominently for all your employees
and visitors to see. For more information about ESGR, its outreach programs or volunteer
opportunities, call 800-336-4590 or visit www.ESGR.mil.
