    Applications for Bailey Health Care Scholarships Now Being Accepted
    MIDLAND, Mich. – Applications to the Bernard F. and Melissa Anne Bailey Family Fund Health Care Scholarship program at MidMichigan Health are now available for the 2019-20 school year. Students may access the application online at www.midmichigan.org/bailey. Applicants and support documentation will only be accepted electronically. The deadline for the 2019-20 school year is Friday, March 1, 2019.
    The fund was initiated through a $3.3 million bequest left by Bernard Bailey and is under the stewardship of the MidMichigan Health Foundation. Scholarships are awarded to students in health care fields on the basis of merit and established criteria as determined by an oversight committee. More than $215,000 was awarded to 161 students for the 2018-19 school year. More than $2 million in total has been given in scholarship funds by the Bailey Family Fund to assist students as they pursue a career in health care since it began offering scholarships in 2005.
