Michigan Architectural Foundation and WTA Architects Distribute STEM kits to Saginaw Public Libraries

August 2021:  Michigan Architectural Foundation in collaboration with AIA Michigan has made available Architectural Maker Kits for Distribution throughout Michigan.  Architectural Maker Kits help young learners understand and apply STEM concepts.  Each kit contains large bins with STEM toys, books and suggestions on how libraries may implement this program along with K’NEX and blocks and blueprints.  Michigan Architectural Foundation has chosen 10 locations to receive these learning kits and Saginaw Public Libraries was among those to receive.  Through the efforts of MAF Saginaw Valley local president, WTA Architects is happy to assist in the distribution to Saginaw Public Libraries.

The Kits will be presented to Maria Carville, Director of Saginaw Public Libraries at Hoyt the Library branch Tuesday August 31st at 10AM.

The Michigan Architectural Foundation is dedicated to advancing awareness of how architecture enriches life.  They believe that architecture has the power to stimulate deep emotional connections with the spaces we occupy, and are dedicated to the promotion, perpetuation, and preservation of architecture as an art form.  By serving as a visible resource for funding, information, and educational programs, they increase appreciation for architecture, which in turn encourages cohesive, sustainable communities, increases economic value, and adds beauty to our built environment.
