DSRC Welcomes Gail Frahm as New Executive Director
The board of directors and staff of Disability Services Resource Center (DSRC), located in Bay City, Michigan, welcomes Gail Frahm as its new executive director. Gail hit the ground running with DSRC the beginning of August. In addition to working with the board and staff, she will be in charge of grant writing and fundraisers for DSRC whose mission is to serve individuals who are temporarily or permanently disabled with awareness, support and recreational activities.
Under her leadership, DSRC will carry out its five main programs: building barrier- free wheelchair ramps, operating a loan closet for medical equipment, sponsoring summer camperships, providing Disability Awareness Trainingsm, and offering ACESTM (All Children Experience Sports) — an accessible youth softball program and bowling league. These programs are currently offered at no cost to the community, and Gail will help keep it that way.
“Gail comes to us after working nearly 29 years for the Michigan Soybean Association and Michigan Soybean Promotion Committee, both non-profit organizations, like DSRC. For the last 16 years, she lead the organization as their executive director, representing farmers across the state of Michigan. She and her husband, Tom, have four children and reside on and operate the family farm in Saginaw County where Gail grew up,” states DSRC President, Melissa Williams. “We are excited to have Gail and her expertise in the area of non-profit organization management. She is a respected, considerate and well-spoken leader who will represent our organization with dignity and integrity.”
