• Renue Physical Therapy – Bay City West expands services with Pelvic Health Therapy

Bay City, MI – Renue Physical Therapy has announced the addition of specialized pelvic health therapy at its Bay City West location at 3720 Wilder Rd. Suite D. Pelvic Health Specialist Meghan DeWaele, OTD, OTRL is now accepting new patients, with appointments available beginning Monday, December 2nd.

Dr. DeWaele joins the Renue Bay City West team with extensive experience in occupational therapy and a passion for pelvic health care. She has been practicing occupational therapy since 2021, and expanded her knowledge with additional training in pelvic health through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.

“Meghan’s addition to our team marks an exciting expansion of our services,” said Roland Leonora, PT, Managing Partner at Renue Physical Therapy – Bay City West. “Her specialized training and compassionate approach will be invaluable to our patients seeking relief from a variety of pelvic health issues.”

“People sometimes feel embarrassed and hesitate to seek care for issues like incontinence or sexual dysfunction, and it’s one of our goals at Renue to break the stigma for this type of care” said Dr. DeWaele. “We strive to help patients feel at ease and to help them understand there is nothing to be embarrassed about. Pelvic health issues can have a negative impact on a person’s quality of life, and patients are so relieved when they start to see positive changes and gain a better understanding of their bodies through pelvic health therapy.”

Bay City West marks Renue’s sixth clinic to offer pelvic health as a specialty service. Pelvic health therapy is covered by most insurances, and the Renue team works with each patient’s insurance company to ensure services are covered.

“Pelvic health therapy continues to be one of our fastest growing services lines for not only women, but for men and children as well,” said Renue Physical Therapy CEO Tony Klapish. “We started with pelvic health years ago in just one clinic, and we’ve since grown to offer it at six Renue locations in Bridgeport, Caro, Frankenmuth, Midland, Saginaw and now Bay City. We are proud to continue expanding these services to make them more accessible close to home.”
