2025 City of Mural Community Festival Returns to Bay City with 4 new Murals, Friendship Wall Launch, Live Music & Community Celebration

Bay City, MI – July 1, 2025 — United We Go proudly announces the 3rd Annual City of Mural Community Festival, taking place August 21–25, 2025, in Bay City, Michigan. This year’s festival will feature four large-scale murals created by six talented mural artists, transforming approximately 2,000 square feet of city walls into vibrant expressions of unity, identity, and hope.

A major highlight of this year’s festival is the launch of the Friendship Wall, a new permanent public art initiative by United We Go. This evolving mural space invites artists from all backgrounds to contribute their unique styles in celebration of unity and creativity. The wall will officially open with a ribbon cutting on Friday, August 22 at Wenonah Park, followed by a meet-and-greet at Legacy Coffee House (810 Saginaw St.). (Learn more in the separate Friendship Wall press release.)

This beloved community event is made possible by generous grant support from the Bay Area Community Foundation, local sponsors, in-kind donors, and the partnership of business and building owners across Bay City.

The 2025 festival hub will be at Legacy Coffee House (810 Saginaw St.), where visitors can enjoy two full days of celebration on August 23 & 24, featuring live music, youth painting workshops, and a diverse vendor market showcasing handmade goods, local nonprofits, and youth-led businesses. In addition to Legacy Coffee House, the celebration will also take place at Wenonah Park, where another mural is being painted and festivities will continue throughout the weekend.

“Public art builds more than beauty—it builds belonging,” said Gina Anayana, founder of United We Go. “This year, we’re proud to invite the community to help paint the Friendship Wall and co-create a powerful reflection of unity.”
