Bay Area Chamber of Commerce to Host 2025 State of Education Event

BAY CITY, MI – The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce its annual State of Education luncheon, taking place on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bay City-Riverfront. The event will bring together business and community leaders for a timely and important discussion about the future of education in Bay County.

This year’s program will feature three newly appointed leaders: Grant Hegenauer, Superintendent of Bay City Public Schools; Davion Lewis, Superintendent of Essexville-Hampton Public Schools; and Shelly DuCharme, Superintendent of the Bay-Arenac ISD. Their leadership marks a new chapter for education in Bay County, and attendees will have the opportunity to hear their visions for student success, workforce readiness, and the essential role business partnerships play in shaping educational outcomes.

“The State of Education continues to be one of the Chamber’s most impactful events,” said Magen Samyn, President & CEO of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a chance for employers, educators, and advocates to come together and hear firsthand how our local schools are preparing students for the future and how our business community can support that mission.”
