Archaeological Investigations at Chippewa Nature Center

Since 1966, archaeological excavations have taken place at Chippewa Nature Center, unearthing ancient Native American sites and evidence of  early Midland settlers and farms. Currently the Oxbow Archaeologists are exploring sites along old river channels on CNC's Riverpoint property. This program will give a description of the sites that have been excavated at CNC since 1966 as well as the Oxbow Archaeologists' current excavations. Meet at the Visitor Center.
