About Us

As a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, we assist Bay County residents and their families with permanent or temporary disabilities. Founded in 1933, the organization strives to help individuals with disabilities become accepted members of their community to the fullest extent of their capabilities.

We offer five main services to Bay County residents in need including:
Adaptive Sports (bowling and softball)
Build/Repair Accessible Ramps
Camps/Camp Scholarships for ages 6-26 with disabilities
Disability Awareness Training to educate businesses, organizations and schools of what it's like to live with a disability
Equipment - Durable medical equipment is available to be borrowed at no cost with just a doctor's prescription

How are we funded? Through private and company donations, grants and fundraisers throughout the year. The easiest way to donate is to text DSRC to 44-321. You'll receive a link to go to our GiveLively site. One time, weekly, monthly or annual donations may be set up.

We are also looking for volunteers to help both inside and outside our building with things such as answering phones, waiting on customers, taking items out to their vehicles, repairing equipment, entering data into the computer for equipment, donations, etc., and working in our accessible garden and yard to help with trimming trees, weeding, etc. Call us at 989-895-5444 if interested.
