Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Announces Move to New Downtown Location, Advancing Collaborative Economic Impact
BAY CITY, MI – The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce announced it will relocate its office in April 2026 to a new downtown Bay City location at:
101 1st Street, Suite 101
Bay City, MI 48708
This move brings four key organizations together under one roof, aligning efforts in economic growth, business support, and downtown vitality to deliver greater impact for the Bay City and Bay County business community.
The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce will co-locate with Bay Future, Inc., the Bay City Downtown Management Board, and the Bay City Downtown Development Authority. Bringing these four organizations together under one roof creates a unified approach to economic development, business support, and downtown vitality.
By aligning daily operations and working in close proximity, the organizations will be able to more effectively coordinate initiatives, streamline communication, and accelerate progress on shared priorities. This collaborative environment is designed to produce stronger outcomes for businesses, attract investment, and enhance the overall economic competitiveness of the region.
“This move is about intentionally bringing together organizations that each play a critical role in our economic ecosystem,” said Magen Samyn, President & CEO of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. “By working side by side, we can align strategies, respond more quickly to opportunities, and deliver greater impact for our business community and the future of Bay County.”
Kellie Rupp, Marketing Director for Downtown Bay City, said, "Being co-located with the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and Bay Future creates an exciting opportunity for collaboration. The Downtown Management Board is thrilled to share space and work alongside organizations with aligned missions, strengthening our collective efforts to support Downtown Bay City and advance the growth and vitality of Bay County as a whole."
The new downtown location keeps the Chamber at the center of the community it serves while creating a hub for partnership-driven progress. The co-location model will support more cohesive planning, stronger public-private collaboration, and a more seamless experience for businesses seeking resources and support.
As the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce begins this next chapter, it remains committed to serving as a connector, convener, and champion for the business community—now with an enhanced ability to collaborate, innovate, and drive results.
